LD Debate Handbooks
For those new to debate or who are still learning about Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Perspectives has developed handbooks that explain the activity. A brief and comprehensive introduction are available.
College Application Guide
If you are applying to college, Perspectives has developed a handbook on applying debate to college applications, to help you best present your debate background to college admissions officers.
Extracurricular Debate Education Programs
Perspectives offers many extracurricular debate education programs including a summer debate institute, a winter debate institute and saturday seminars.
If you are a student from a Philadelphia public or charter school, Perspectives offers free afterschool programming. Volunteer debate coaches visit schools once a week and teach debate, at no cost to the school. The culmination of this program is the annual Voices of Philadelphia Debate Tournament held at Drexel University. In 2008, this tournament awarded $30,000 in college scholarships to participating students.
