Students Prepare for Second Interscholastics
Debaters in each of Perspectives' afterschool programs will assemble at schools across the Philadelphia area — including the University of Pennsylvania — for this year's second set of Interscholastic Tournaments. These informal competitions will be held throughout the week, giving students an additional opportunity to prepare for the upcoming Fall Tournament.
This afternoon at Paul Robeson High School, students from three different programs met for the first time in competition. Each pair of competitors was assigned a judge, and received both written and oral feedback about their performance. Perspectives would like thank the following coaches for hosting one of this week's scheduled tournaments, thereby making these experiences possible:
Bart Poindexter, Paul Robeson High School
Maria Fitzgerald, Bodine High School
Paul Perry, Shaw High School
