Afterschool Programs (Re)Launch

Afterschool Programs (Re)Launch

Over the past two weeks, each of Perspectives' 12 returning afterschool programs has begun practicing for another exciting semester of debate. This spring, students will be arguing about the following topic: The United States ought to submit to the jurisdiction of an international court designed to prosecute crimes against humanity. With only a few days until the first Interscholastic Competitions of 2009, practices have been intense!

Joining these dozen returning programs is a new school: KIPP Philadelphia. KIPP - short for Knowledge is Power Program - will be Perspectives' first school to hold practices on Saturday and compete against other schools at weekday Interscholastics. We are very excited to begin working with them, and look forward to the start of a successful and educational year.
