Debate Tournaments
Throughout the year, Perspectives sponsors its students to a wide variety of tournaments. Perspectives hosts two annual tournaments, the Fall Tournament at the University of Pennsylvania, and the spring Voices of Philadelphia Tournament at Drexel University. As well, Perspectives hosts monthly interscholastic tournaments, which are afterschool debates that take place between schools during one week a month.
Perspectives also sends students to regional tournaments that are held at high schools throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Perspectives provides schools with the monetary resources to attend these tournaments, as well as transportation for students, coaches, and volunteer judges from Perspectives.
Tournaments give students the opportunity to showcase everything they have learned through their afterschool debating experience, as well as to earn top prizes such as scholarship money!
