Congratulations to Jalon Alexander and Melanie Young, who advanced to elimination rounds at the 2008 Voices of Philadelphia Tournament! Melanie advanced to the quarterfinal debate, while Jalon advanced to the semifinal debate, winning a $5,000 scholarship to Drexel University!
As well, congratulations to Jalon Alexander, Melanie Young, Mariah Sprigg, and Steven McFarland, who earned full scholarships to the 2008 Philadelphia Debate Institute.
Finally, congratulations to coach Maria Fitzgerald, who was honored at the Voices of Philadelphia tournament as a Perspectives "Rising Star" coach.
